JUST A REMINISCENCE... A TRIBUTE... FOR HIM

Just a reminiscence...a tribute... for him...
oleh Khairunnisa Zaki pada pada 29hb April 2011 pukul 10.55 pagi

There was this one person ....
One of my personal hero.....
This guy.. he had big dreams....
Ambitions...that he always wanted to achieve..
But unfortunately for him.....
His dad died when he was way too young.....
His deepest love to his father...
Made him lived in a sorrow..
But, then he realized.. he had responsibilities..
His one and only mother...
As well, he needs to help raise his siblings....
All 10 of them.....

After graduated... armed with his diploma...
He finds a job.....he was not picky..
Finally he got one...
Not a glamorous one...but it was fine for him....
He was paid only 500 ringgit per month....
Barely enough for him and his family.....
Barely enough...........
Every month he would give all his salary to his mom......
Every single penny....
Everyday before he went to work....
He would ask for 5 ringgit..and that was it...

For the whole day.....
Day after day..... and finally some good news....
His sister was accepted to university.....
When he knew about it... he was very pleased and happy.....
He was very proud.. and honor about it...
But financially he was worried...
So he spent the entire weeks looking for money.....
Done every possible job that he could ...
Borrowed from anyone....
Until finally he had enough......

There’s other stories... but that would be too long... to tell....
Just let it be..between him and His creator...
Because it was all about .. sincerity...
Then finally he got married to wonderful woman......
They were blessed with their 1st child....
A daughter..... but life was harsh..... financially worse......
There were times that he and his wife would collect coins...
Just to buy a can of powdered milk for their daughter.....
Tied it with a piece of cloth..
Brought it to the groceries..with care..
Not to let the coins fell even a cent..
Because that was just enough for one tin of milk...
But they never complaint....
In fact they were happy......
The continued to be blessed with a son...
Then another son....
Then a daughter...
Then another son....
But financialy... still not much of a progress....
But it’s enough.... although barely enough...
But still..... he never spoke of his misery....
He never spoke about it...
He left in his heart..
And sometimes shared with his wonderful wife..
Not much...just to let her knew what had happened...

Then, he was being tested by Allah...
He fell sick...he felt hopeless...and sad about himself..
He gone through procedures... and he felt so much in pain..
But still, he was trying to survive...
The procedures nearly to fail..but his spirit and passion to live..
And the prayers from the others... made him strong...
The procedures succeed....
The family was very happy.. and he looked obviously recovering...
Fast and convincing.... happy moments arrived...
Until we almost believed he would lived just like before..
Yes....just like before...
His son..at that time...had his first graduation...
He felt regret...deeply..because....
He was the one who would gave the standing ovation to his son ..
He was sad..but he just kept it..
Tried to understand his own situation and capability...
His son came back with a scroll of honor...
He smiled...full of proud and joy...this is my son...

Although his son was not yet to be a doctor...
But his son has treated him as his first patient..
Cleaned his wounds... done the dressing...
Checked his daily consumption...
Consulted the do's and the don'ts....

His son knew about his father's situation..
But he never told anybody..
It's better not to know than knowing...he said..
He refused to return back to his University..
He wanted to take care his father..

One day..he called his son..
Had a chat...had a very deep conversation...
One request to his son...
Please return to your university...
InsyaAllah... God's will.. we will meet again..
Other than that ..it would be a long story to tell..
Just let it be..between him, his son and His creator..

Soon after his son returned back for his study..
Soon after her daughter's marriage proposal...
He was getting.......worst...
He forgot about days and nights...
He forgot about days and dates...
He just wanted the family to remind him of solah...
Whether he had done it..or not...

He refused to eat..he just drank a cup of water and lie down on bead...
Another cup..and lie back... he just ate bit by bit... and that was it..
The family was worried... done as much as they could..
But he refused to undergone the procedures..

His body..his mind..and his soul...
Was ready to be taken by his Creator.
It was Allah's will...
Allah loved him more than anyone of us..
From Allah he came..to Allah he returned....
The syahadah was released..
Companied by his two brothers...
He died in peace...

He left what he had done to his family...
The loves..contributions...sacrifices...everything..
He is the gift from Allah...
Love your mother... love your father... love your parents..as they will die tomorrow..
made them happy as there will no tomorrow..
respect your old ones and lowered your voice...although you are right and they are wrong...

...Biggest appreciation to Ahmad Naquiyuddin...
he gave the spark to this reminiscence..
most of the part is naqi's idea...
i'm writing this because this coming 8th May 2011 is Mother's Day...
the person I wrote about was the man who always remind me about Mother's Day..
and the man is my very own father...
Allahyarham Tuan Hj Zaki bin Hj Abdul Malek bin Hj Nong bin Hj Abu bin Ujang bin Malim Kayo bin Shah Naro...
Al-Fatihah.....
